Under Pressure? Help for Hypertension in Seacroft.

We spoke to Dr. George Winder from Oakwood Lane Medical Practice, who told us that high blood pressure can increase stroke risk. More people in Seacroft are experiencing strokes than in other areas, but there aren’t the hypertension diagnoses to match. Luckily there’s a simple solution. “If we find them and we reduce their blood pressure by 10 points, we can reduce their chance of having a stroke in their life by 20-25%.”

 Local resident Clarrie discovered her blood pressure was high at a community event.
